Wincent's range of drumsticks is pretty much all-encompassing. The W-5BM drumsticks are a size 5B, which grants them more power and volume than a pair of 5A drumsticks and, since they're made of maple instead of hickory, they're also a little lighter and offer a faster response than standard 5B sticks. Normally, the downside of maple is that it splinters more easily than hickory, but here, Wincent have used a special grindstone process before finishing the sticks with a thin coat of wax to counter wear-and-tear of the shoulder and tear-drop tip.

Wincent: Swedish Quality

Wincent was founded in 1992 when Swedish drummer Dan Nylén wasn't too impressed with his rods, so just decided he'd have to make them himself. With the help of his father's experience as a carpenter and a little garage space, he started to produce his first bespoke sticks. In honour of his father, Nylén took on his Dad's middle name as his drum-stick moniker: Wincent. Ever since, Wincent has been producing rods and sticks with a focus on durability, using an ecologically conscious approach.
